7 months!

My beautiful baby boy... Is it sad that I cried the night before you turned 7 months?... Maybe. It's so sad how time flies by. You were in my belly, then you were a newborn, then a baby, and now you just want to move around and be a big boy! Here's some new things your diggin right now...

- You know how to turn around while we're holding you in our arms so you can face forward. You love lookin out and seeing what's going on. You're so curious.
- When we come to pick you up you lift up your arms.
- When someone is holding you, you lean forward and put your arms out to be held by someone else! ... This happened too fast.
- You arch your back like crazy when you don't wanna be somewhere.
- You're making all kinds of noises with consonants. Like the dadadas... Unfortunately. But if you ever ask, I'll say that your first word was mama. :)
- You reach for everything you set your eyes on! All grown up things of course. I buy you toys and books and you want nothing to do with them! You love grabbing the utensils out of our hands when we're eating by you. Drinks, food, hair, eyelids, lips, tongues, noses... you name it. Our poor lil puppy Bailie is such a trooper, you just grab her hair and pull on it and she'll just lick you. Bless her heart.
- You're pretty content and love being in public and going places. You're pretty amazed by people.   Especially little kids... You want to be like the big boys and you definitely like the girls.
-You're ticklish under your arms and love it when I tickle your tummy with my nose. So funny!
-You can roll over both ways and turn around, you move all over the place on that tummy!
-You absolutely hate when I try to get boogies out of your nose or get sleep out of your eyes...
already! ...This will never stop...sorry...
-When I'm playing with you and lifting you up in the air, you love to open your mouth right on my nose and wiggle back and forth... I don't know... but it's cute, and makes me laugh.
-You've graduated from sucking on your middle fingers to your thumb! All the rest of your fingers stay up and you look so cute. Lets just hope its not a habit and you don't get buck teeth... You'd still be cute.
-When you get excited you straighten your arms and legs and shake them back and forth a lil bit. So, so cute. You mostly do it all the time because so many things make you excited and happy. I love it.
-You've graduated from grabbing things with your palm to the pincer grasp. You point to what you want to pick up and then try and pick it up with your thumb, its so cute to just watch you point at it first though. You're learning!

 

 

Mostly, we just love you so much. You're the best thing that ever happened to us. We are so grateful for you. I can't believe your next month post will be when you're 8 months! Yikes! Stop growing! Lets just say, I am in no hurry for you to grow up. I want you to just stay a baby...well, you'll always be my baby, but time is just slipping by too fast. We are in no hurry for you to crawl or walk... of course we are giving you tummy time and room to develop, but there's definitely no rush. We are enjoying every second of every stage you go through. Soakin you all up! Ugh! We just love your face!
