8 Months

It's so hard for me to watch you get older, I just want you to stay my little baby!  There is no way it has been 8 months already since you were born, so many crazy things have happened! Each new thing has been so exciting yet so sad for mama! For some reason when you hear seven months, it's like "aww a baby", but when I hear 8 months, it feels like your almost 1! I decided to buy you a mobile that we could hang pictures of your aunts and uncles on so you would be able to see them everyday and know them and what they look like when you see them. You freaked out before we even put the pictures up! You loved the little hooks! When you get excited, you straighten your arms and legs and point your toes and then flex them as your little wrists do this little twisty turn dance... so cute. The enjoyment of life's simple pleasures. It takes very little to make you happy! We are so lucky!

You get more and more handsome every day! So dapper...

Here is what went down this past month:

-Your hair is growing back! From the back to the front of course! 

-YOU HAVE TEETH! Two bottom teeth that popped out when you were 7 1/2 months. So cute. They were a doosie; you were miserable. My poor baby. And you are starting to teethe real bad again and are starting to get more in! However, even though you have new teeth, I haven't started you on food yet. You just had your first taste of baby food today and Grandma King's. It makes momma sad that you are graduating! But with all the moving and settling in, we just havent gotten the chance. I have given you little tastes of everything, but havent actually started the pureed foods and cereals. We are tomorrow! Yikes! But I should have started a couple months ago! We are fallin a little bit late! Dada gave you a cucumber to suck on and gum and he dipped it in lemon water on accident and you definately gave a sour face! First ever! But it was the cutest thing!

-YOU CRAWLED! You took three steps and are now doing a half crawl scoot thing. You start crawling when you want to get something far away and then when you get close you go into the plank and pull yourself with one arm while you tuck in the other. Adorable, and so funny!

- Bailie has become a little momma hen and is so sweet with you. You pull her hair and legs and you just let her. Theo doesn't like it when you do that stuff, and one time he got mad at you, and Bailie went up to Theo and bit at his face and told him off. She follows you everywhere you go and when you cry she licks your face and dries your tears....with her wet tongue...gross but cute. She's your little pal.

- You hate, hate, hate, when I pick boogies off your face.

-You are getting so much more playful and so curious. You get so excited about food. Forget about feeding you anything when we eat in front of you, you want our food. You think everything we eat is for you. You are so stinkin funny.

-It's amazing, but some of your 2-4 month clothes still fit you, but you also fit in some 9-12 month clothes. You're all over the place. But I don't mind you fitting in your smaller clothes, it means your still my little baby and you haven't grown THAT much!

-You've kinda slowed down on the baby jabber, I think you might have learned to talk from Bailie, and when I say talk I mean whine... sorry, but we hope you grow out of it too. It's still funny, it's like you talk to each other.

P.S.......The resemblance is crazy!!!!!!

You look exactly like both of us! We don't know how you do it! But it's great! And sometimes you look exactly like grandma and grandpa, both of them! It's cray Grey! Your cry face is my cry face, its almost laughable when you cry because A. you're so stinkin cute, but B. because I see me! We love you sooooo much! Its crazy! You melt our heart and we love experiencing everything with you. While we are teaching you about life, you show teach us what life is all about...First we had each other, then we had you, and now we have everything we could ever ask for. You are our whole world. Happy 8 months baby Grey! You handsome lad you!
