6 months!

Why?! Seriously so sad! How has half a year gone by already! How can you be growing so fast?! We can truly say that these have been the happiest, most crazy fun, 6 months we've ever had of our lives! We've moved 2 times and you've been such a champ! Every journey, whether to a new state, a vacation, a trip, or just errands, is a whole new experience to share with you and everyday I get to spend with you is such a honor, we just feel so blessed to have you and watch you grow.
You did sooooo good at your 6 month check up! You barely cried for your shots! Mommy cried more than you did! Sad, but true... You weighed 18 pounds!that's the 60th percentile! My big hefty boy! You are still not the tallest kid on the block, a little over 26in. in the 43% of your age. We'll just keep makin those bones grow as best we can!

You've been growing and changing like crazy! You've started rolling over tons! And when you're on your back you love grabbing and playing with your feet. It's so funny and cute, and we can tell you get so proud of yourself. We love tickling you and you love it too. Every time you're tickled you raise your arms and put your hands by your ears and have a huge smile on your face... The cutest thing ever. Wherever we go people want to stop and play with you. They think you're so cute and you're so stylin, people can't help but stop and stare. Grandmas stop me all over the place and litterally kept me there for a half hour because they want to play with you and make you smile! I'm not going to confirm or deny that I kinda loved sitting there watching you augh like crazy at this Grannys face, pretty funny.

You're sitting up, amazing! We are still super careful with you though. Sometimes you go after things and plop over so we make sure your toys are in a safe place!  And you're gettin so close to crawling! You're SCOOTING! Backwards of course! You're getting those legs underneath you and pushing up, and then you slide your legs back and you scoot all over the place! not just on the floor, in your crib too. Its so fun waking up with you in the middle of the night to move you because your head is hitting the crib. I probably get up with you more in the middle of the night now more than I did when you were a newborn! At least you stay sleep so I'm not up with you! You still get in your solid 10 hours. The water bottle is your new favorite toy. You think it's so fun and interesting! Especially if you can squish it and it has liquid in it! You're so cute. You've started babbling. It's so cute. We can't wait to see if you say mama or dada first... Probably mama, but who cares! ;) Sometimes you talk and get so excited you'll be talking and then all the sudden you still be talking but your not making a sound and your lips are still moving. just goin through the motions, and talkin in silence. It's so stinkin cute, and funny. You're also figuring out how to grab things, fun things like hair and earrings... ;) we love it. But you'll try and grab everything you can get your hands on. It's so cute, and scary, that we have to start baby proofing for things within hands reach. Sometimes you'll be doing tummy time, or will be sleeping and I'll notice your hand will start opening and closing like your grabbing something. You love the noise it makes against different things. You're so curious and eager to try everything! Already!

Sometimes it really hits me I have a baby boy... that I made! I created a life who will one day hopefully create other lives. You're a boy who will be crazy, and break bones, and be too adventurous for your own good! And I am finally a mom! I truly know what a mothers love is like. 6 months ago you came into our lives and you have already taught us so much about life, patience, love, and what pure joy in the simple things is like. You're the only part of me I have in the whole world. The only thing that's really mine. Watching you grow is the most enjoyable and hardest thing to watch as a mom. I want you to stay little forever. But it's just a part of life. I can't wait for the next 6 months and I enjoy watching you learn and figure things out by yourself everyday! As a mom I want to help you as much as I can and do everything for you, but watching you do things for yourself and figure them out is amazing, and i have to remember theres only one way for you to learn...to do it yourself! A baby is really the most amazing part of a mommy's life that she gets to experience. Just 6 short months ago you were brought into our lives and have taught us so much about life, patience, love, and what pure joy from the most simple things feels like. You make us the happiest we've ever been! We love you Greyson Oliver king! We can't wait to see what the next 6 months hold!
