Mothers day & swimming!!!

Greyson, I can't explain in words how grateful I am to be your mom. I am complete now... You complete me. The best gift a woman can recieve is being a mom and being blessed with a beautiful healthy baby. Mothers day was so special this year, because it was the first day it ever meant anything to ME. Yes, I have my mom, grandma Shelly, but I'm a mom now because of her. Really, she gave us a gift... For mothers day, we were going to get family photos done, which I've been planning for months!!! But the photographer cancelled. Not to worry, we still have photos of the weekend! We went to Dallas anyway and had a fun weekend staying in a nice Hilton and swimming... Yes swimming! You're first time! And you looooooved it! You thought it was a huge bathtub! The look on your face was priceless! You were kickin and splashin up a storm! You couldn't even fathom water looking blue like that because it was outside. You were so amazed. Your dad and I love watching you explore new things. We had such a fun weekend, unfortunately, getting back wasn't your finest moment, we left at night and you wanted your bed and not the car seat... Which I completely understand! Bless your little heart...

We have such special little moments sometimes, it breaks my heart when I can't get it on video or take pictures because the moment passed and I can't recreate it...sad sad sad. But they will always be in my memories and ingrained in my heart. One little moment was so tender and dear to my heart, I was walking around the house trying to wind you down and get you ready for bed, and we passed a framed quote from our former prophet of the church, Gordon B. Hinkley, and his picture was at the top and you smiled so big, it was almost as if you knew him and were so happy to see him. I continued to read the quote and you just stared with a grin on your face. It was as if you saw him in heaven before Heavenly Father sent you to us. Such a tender moment that's so dear to me, I had to share. Sometimes, when you're eating, I just stare at you in silence in a quiet room and thank the lucky stars and Heavenly Father for sending you to us, and how amazing you are. Such a perfect being that we get to hold and experience right in front of us. I really think Heavenly Father sent you to us so we could learn from you and be more like you, as you are purely perfection. You love fully, and are so innocent and honest, it's true when they say, "Just when you teach your children about life, they teach you what life is all about."

Greyson, you are our sunshine, our only sunshine, you make us happy when skies are "Grey", you'll never know, dear, how much we love you"... you love that song as I'm singing you goodnight. Thank you for giving me the greastest joy in being your mom, sharing these moments with me, and choosing me to parent you as I enjoy seeing you grow and experience life. I love you...
