-You're finding your voice! We hear new sounds all the time, and at different pitches as well! At least you haven't learned "no" yet...
-You are totally feeding yourself, it's amazing. Of course I still nurse you, but the food part you got covered! You love lil chunks of food and crackers that are just the right size and soft enough for you to eat. You love strawberries, apples, carrots, cheerios, crackers, toast, squash, potatoes... you love it all! As for the spoon, maybe it's not so much your friend, but you get some food in there by yourself, and everytime I feed you with the spoon you open your mouth the slightest bit (notice I say the slightest bit) and then once we get the spoon in you close your lips (more like clench), and push all the food to the the back of the spoon...nice. But what you love are those baby food pouches you squeeze. You got them down. You look so grown up feeding yourself...sad. But very cute to watch.
-You love ice. The bigger cubes I hold for you and you gum it/ suck on it until it becomes little enough, and then you'll actually suck on the rest by yourself. But the little crushed/snow ice is where it's at! You love ice!
-You re such a good sharer with the dogs! They want to take all your toys and food. Of course I don't let them, but stuff happens, and you just let them take your toys or food, and sometimes/ mostly, you just give it to them.
-Yet in return, you want the dogs stuff as well. You want their toys(they're so colorful and fun), their food and treats(they look so fun to chew on), and you even mimic Bailie's whine. Its almost getting to be too much, but it's still funny at the moment, so for now, I just keep it all on the floor and monitor your every move so you aren't getting all the dog germies in your mouth!
-You love straws, and mostly all things that can be used as a sword. Kitchen utensils, sticks, etc.
-You still make the cutest owl/tigger noise. When you get all excited you make that noise and clench your hands and straighten your limbs, it's hilarious! I definitely have never seen another baby do that ever. Love it.
-You still love your baths. When your kind of fussy I put you in the bath and you instantly relax and calm down. And you love this purple bath scoop we got you. You just love to look at how funky it is and all the things it can do...like make noise and poor water out. You'd take that thing anywhere if you could.
-Your still such a great lil sleeper at night and pull in around 10-11 hours of sleep. You get 2 naps a day sometimes one if we are busy, and sleep at least 2-3 hours during the day.
-You are so much more playful and you are teasing a lil bit. Becoming a little shy tease, so cute.
-You are getting into everything, you just can't stop. You are so curious. You want to play with everything and figure it all out.
-You love playing with blocks. You take them individually and scope them out, and then I'll build them up and before I can even get 2 levels up you knock them down. Like you know what I'm trying to do and you want none of it. But it's still fun. I think it's hilarious. You love knockin them things down!
-Now that you've been crawling for almost 2 months, you are so over it. As soon as I put you down to explore you arch your back and straighten your knees so I can't sit you down and you just want to walk around the house with us holding your hands all day. You mastered the crawl and your ready to get walkin!
-And if you are on the floor already, you crawl up to our legs, then move your hands up our legs, stand on your knees, look at us, and wait for us to pick you up to walk around with you.
-You've learned how to make noise with your lips! Like the fart noise and the car noise and a bunch of other noises I don't know how to describe. But you are just making all sorts of new noises and sounds everyday.
-You love all gown-up electronics and technology. You're into the computer, clocks, and all sorts of lights or lamps, iphones...the list could go on. My lil curious boy!
-Along with that, you love facetiming and skyping. A. Because you see yourself, and you love that!
B. Because you love seeing other people in real lifetime motion, especially your family and everyone who loves and misses you! And it's a good thing too, because that's the only way we can see family all the time and how you can get to know them and recognize them when we see them. You love it! When you are getting a lil antsy I call whoever we can to talk to and when their face pops up, you get a huge shy smile on your face and put your chin to your chest with a lil grin.... ugh! You're so cute. I'm obsessed.
-Hence, you are a huge people person. You love going out and people watching. And when we went to Utah again 2 days after you turned 9 months for a week and then to California for 2 days, the plane trips were so easy because you love looking at people and people want to hold you and play with you, and you let them! You love being out and about. Definitely keeps you entertained.
-Sometimes when I'm putting you down to sleep and you're not quite asleep yet, I'll kiss all over your lil cheeks, or chin, nose, neck, lips, etc. Whatever works. You fall right asleep, gets ya everytime. I love those little tender moments with you. It's what I'll remember when you are old and not Pumpkinwanting to hug me anymore!
-You love being on peoples shoulders! You are so high up, and you get a huge smile on your face!
-You love being on peoples shoulders! You are so high up, and you get a huge smile on your face!
-Speaking of old, with all the growing you're doing, you look so big in your car seat! Like it's too small! Whaaaaaaaat? I remember when you were just a little newborn baby and that car seat looked sooo big, I thought we needed to get more padding to make it fit right! You were just a little litttle baby and now your a big boy!
-Last, but not least, probably the biggest deal of them all, you got your two front teeth, on the top! Ah! Those are the teeth that you are one day going to say "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" to. Those are a big deal, those mark childhood! Sad. But they are so cute. I just love every piece of you.
Greyson, we love you so much. We are so grateful you are happy and healthy. We look around and see a lot of mommies who have their baby in the hospital to fight for their lives. Or mommies, who found out during their pregnancy that their baby had a millimeter more of fluid in their neck meaning their baby was going to be down syndrome, and then those babies are born, and they couldn't be more in love with them. We are so in love with you, for every piece of you that's healthy and normal, but even more so, for every part of you that's not. We love that you lost your hair already and we love that you will have struggles and hard times and we get to help you and guide you through the journey. We love you inside and out. We are so lucky you are even alive, because every life is a miracle. We are so lucky we didn't have to go through hard months at the beginning of your life with you, but if we did, you are worth it. If I could do it all over again I would do it all the same to have a healthy baby, time and time again. I would do anything. I would love a bazillion Greysons! But we just have this once, and we will do the best we can to make you the smartest, happiest boy in the world! Here you are at the pumpkin patch...
